Each piece for a mobile is fired with Raku glaze or in a pit fire or saggar fire. There are holes on the top and bottom through which to run wires. I use toggle bolts to hold the pieces, and the top is secured through the ceiling onto a 1x4 plank in the attic. The second photo is the mobile from our house, hung by Tina and David 5 years ago.
